The Wind Ensemble is an outstanding auditioned ensemble which rehearses and performs during both the fall and spring semesters. Members of the Wind Ensemble are highly select and versatile musicians who are challenged to create music at the highest artistic level. The Wind Ensemble performs superb band literature suited to the group’s high level of ability and select instrumentation. Recent performances have included “superior” ratings at music festivals throughout Southern California, clinics with well-noted collegiate conductors and frequent appearances at community events.

 

PREREQUISITE:

 

An audition is required for placement into the Wind Ensemble. Auditions take place in August.

 

REHEARSAL SCHEDULE:

 

(August – May. Co-currently with the Regiment in the fall semester)

 

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 6:45 – 7:50am

 

&

 

Tuesday: 4:00 – 5:00pm (master classes)

 

Tuesday evening rehearsal
