Color Guard
“The color guard activity exists to foster positive experiences for all who participate, by promoting education, creativity, and freedom of expression through the unification of pageantry and the performing arts.”
(As stated by Winter Guard International (WGI) one of the leading color guard associations and promoters worldwide)
The Los Osos Color Guard is comprised of approximately 50 students (male and female) who participate as the major visual component for the Los Osos Regiment during the fall semester (August – December), and as two stand-alone visual performance units (known as the “Winter Guards”) during the spring semester (January – May).
PREREQUISITE:
An audition is required for placement into the color guard and winter guard. Auditions take place in May for the following school year’s Regiment color guard, and in December for the spring semester winter guard.
REHEARSAL SCHEDULE:
Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday: 7:15 - 8:15am
Friday: 7:15 - 9:15am
Tuesday: 5:30 - 9:00pm
Wednesday: 4:00 - 7:00pm
* Also select Saturdays during the fall and spring semesters.
